About Me

Hi I’m Zoe, Honestly! Counselling is about being listened to, my passion is to listen to you, allowing you to talk freely, allowing you to be you, helping you to feel what it is to be listened to, to be valued for being yourself without fear of judgement or opinions, I’m offering you someone that will stick with you during difficult times, I’m here to be your person for a while and we can explore & process life safely, ‘you are not alone in this’ I will be offering you a confidential space to process how you are doing and only you!

I'm a fully qualified Counsellor and an Accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, working within their ethical framework and codes of conduct, ensuring safety for all, I also hold a fully enhanced DBS.

I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Trauma informed counsellor, working in different settings from schools to online or face to face in my private practice working with a range of issues such as depression, suicidal ideologies, anxiety, bereavement, anger, stress, trauma, work burnout, school anxiety, bullying, low self-esteem, & PTSD to mention a few. I also have a large amount of experience working with neurodivergent clients and this in turn informs my approach meeting the need for this client base. Each client is individual and I use my integrative training to match what my client needs from a safe, empathic, non-judgmental prospective.

I run a successful private practice from my garden cabin in Broadstairs, this is a tranquil space where you can leave behind everything else for 50 mins each week, I offer counselling to Adults, Children & Young People, this can be face to face or online counselling.

As well as my private practice I work as a school counsellor in local schools, I’m currently working in a primary school, a secondary school & a specialist SEN school, so I have a wide range of experience working with children and young people.

Alongside these roles I also continue to work as a therapeutic trauma informed foster carer with over 20 years of experience and have extensive training and experience in supporting young people and their families, I also have extensive knowledge working with multi-agency teams. All of this experience helps me to keep up to date with societal and generational challenges, seeing life from both sides as a carer/parental perspective & a child perspective.

I previously worked for 2 years within the East Kent College group as a counsellor for Adults & Young people and as a wellbeing practitioner working within a large, dedicated team, here I worked with a wide range of issues, working ethically within difference and diversity and celebrating Adults and Young peoples ability to work on believing in themselves.
